Anaconda is seeking a talented Senior Business Development Representative to join our rapidly growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and prioritize inbound leads to ensure timely and effective follow-up
• Work with the sales team to develop and lead targeted outbound campaigns from idea generation through to qualified calls
• Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
• Proactively organize and maintain the sales pipeline, keeping detailed records of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
• Develop and implement strategies to increase the conversion rate of meetings to opportunities, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices
• Use AI tools to identify and prioritize buying signals across target accounts, including data role hiring patterns, GitHub activity, tech stack shifts, and funding events
• Build AI-assisted account research briefs prior to first contact, synthesizing a prospect's AI strategy, current tooling, and likely pain points to inform outreach and discovery
• Leverage AI to map personas within target accounts (data scientists, ML engineers, IT/security, procurement) and develop role-tailored messaging for each stakeholder

• 1+ years of experience in Business Development 
• Highly competitive, achievement-oriented, motivated, and driven to exceed goals
• Have high energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and a tenacity to succeed
• Excellent communication skills, including phone and written communication, as well as active listening
• Values selling experience
• Experience prospecting into multi-threaded Enterprise-level accounts
• Experience utilizing Sales Enablement tools (ie. Salesforce, Groove, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for account research and prospecting workflows, including identifying buying signals, building research briefs, or tailoring outreach to multiple personas within an enterprise account

• Technical sales experience specific to AI / Machine Learning or Data Science
• Experience working in a PLG (product-led growth) company or fast-paced startup environment
• Experience working in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company
• Has built a repeatable AI-assisted prospecting system, for example using tools like Clay, Apollo, or custom GPT workflows to automate signal monitoring, account scoring, or persona-level message variants at scale

The US base salary range for this role is $60,000-$70,000+ variable commission structure based on performance + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
