Customs Clearance Coordinator - Lumber Team (Remote)

Position Summary

Know your way around softwood lumber entries? We’re looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our Lumber Team and keep cross-border lumber shipments moving. The Customs Clearance Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting clients by ensuring cross-border shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with all U.S. Customs regulations. You’ll join our dedicated Lumber Team, supporting importers in one of A & A’s core specialties.

This position works independently to process entries across multiple modes of transportation, resolve client issues, and provide exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone with brokerage experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing technical accuracy with strong customer service.

Why You’ll Love Working at A & A:

We’ve been clearing goods across the border since 1979. We’re still not your typical customs broker, and we like it that way. Our team works remotely across Canada and the US. We chose remote work because our people asked for it, and we kept it because it works.

You get the flexibility to do great work from home without a commute. You also get a team that’s only a Slack message or a call away when a shipment gets tricky.

We put real money into tools that take busywork off your plate and leave you more time for the work that needs an expert: getting the classification right, solving a hold, and helping a client get their goods moving.

What we offer:

• Remote work from most US locations
• Competitive pay and full benefits: medical, dental, vision, and a 401k
• Perks you won’t find everywhere: Honeymoon Hi-5 paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a bonus for obtaining industry certifications
• Recognition for strong work through merit increases and profit sharing

Our four values guide how we work: Serve With Enthusiasm, Make It Happen, Play as a Team, and Learn & Grow.  We believe great client service starts with a team that feels supported, so that’s where we invest first.
