Senior Product Manager

Arbital Health is a rapidly growing healthcare technology and actuarial leader that centralizes, measures, and adjudicates value-based care contracts at scale.  We enable payers and providers to design, measure, and execute value-based agreements with greater transparency, efficiency, and financial predictability.
We invest in hiring high potential and humble individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can rapidly grow their responsibilities as we continue to accelerate our growth.

We were co-founded by Brian Overstreet and Travis May (founder & former CEO of LiveRamp and Datavant, the two biggest data companies of the last 20 years), and are backed by Transformation Capital, Valtruis and other leading investors. In our first 2 years, Arbital Health has established itself as a trusted partner for over 40 payers, providers, and other stakeholders looking to navigate the complexities of risk-based contracting.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the product area that measures, settles, and projects the financial performance of value-based care contracts for payers and providers. You will also own the core app experience including home pages, navigation, notifications, access and permissions. You will work with engineers, actuaries, and clients to set priorities, write requirements, and ship features. This role needs a strong product manager who knows how to build for different types of users and can learn how value-based care contracts work. You don't need to be an actuary. Our actuaries own the calculation methodology, and you will work with them on contract and calculation details.

Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap • Own the roadmap for Contract Financials and the app shell (home pages, navigation, notifications, etc.), including how their data and results are used across the platform and in AI features • Prioritize work across client needs, contract requirements, and platform improvements, and document the tradeoffs • Turn individual client and contract requirements into configurable product capabilities that work across many clients • Own access and tenancy, including organizations, roles and permissions, line-of-business and segment scoping, SSO, and audit logs • Use product usage data to see how each persona uses the platform, where they get stuck, and what to build next Execution & Delivery • Write PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, including the calculation rules each feature must follow • Scope new feature requirements by comparing a new contract’s terms with the contract structures the platform already supports • Plan testing with actuaries before release, and see each feature through launch and documentation • Triage bugs and requests, set priority, and follow each through to resolution Contract & Technical Depth • Be the product expert on Contract Financials capabilities and adjacent functions, and on how value-based care contracts are measured and settled • Review contract terms with actuaries as needed to identify requirements the product does not yet support • Work hands-on with data: run SQL queries, review outputs, and check calculations against source data Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with engineering and actuarial teams on requirements, methodology, and testing • Work with the other product teams on shared areas like Arbital AI chat, accessibility, and security • Work with Sales and client-facing teams to understand market needs and buyer priorities, and use that input to set the roadmap • Educate internal teams on existing product capabilities, and decide whether to build support for contract terms the platform does not handle yet • Communicate roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery status to internal teams and clients Ownership & Communication • Act as the main product contact for Contract Financials questions and requests • Write release notes and product updates for internal teams and clients

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in product management, actuarial, analytics, or a similar role, with at least 3 years as a product manager on B2B data, analytics, or financial software products • Some familiarity with value-based care contracts (shared savings, capitation, MLR, benchmarks and targets, attribution, risk sharing, reconciliation and settlement), and the interest to go deeper with our actuaries • Track record of owning a product area end to end, from discovery through release and adoption • Experience building scalable SaaS or platform products used by many customers, including turning recurring customer requests into general capabilities • Experience owning core product experience, such as home pages, navigation, notifications, personalization, or roles and permissions in a multi-tenant product • Experience using AI tools in daily product work, such as drafting PRDs and user stories, prototyping features, analyzing data and customer feedback, and writing queries • Experience shipping AI features in a product, such as an in-app assistant or chat • Experience using product analytics and user research to decide what to build • Ability to turn complex business rules into clear, buildable requirements, working with experts like actuaries • Comfortable reading data schemas, writing SQL • Experience working with clients or client-facing teams • Experience with healthcare data such as claims, eligibility, revenue, and risk scores • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messaging to actuaries, engineers, and business audiences • High attention to detail and a strong bias toward accuracy in financial calculations • Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, early-stage environment

Nice to Have:
• Experience in payer or provider contract operations, VBC finance, or settlement reconciliation • Experience with Medicare Advantage, ACO REACH, MSSP, Medicaid, or Commercial value-based contracts • Prior work at a health tech startup or data-driven healthcare company • Experience with R, Python or similar analysis tools
