EHS Support is a specialty environmental consulting firm that provides solutions to complex environmental, health, and safety challenges across a range of market sectors and industries. With experts located throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, we form long-lasting partnerships with our clients through a culture of excellence, innovation, work ethic, and integrity. We focus on hiring and retaining talented, motivated people who enjoy collaborating with and delivering value to our clients. Our team does more than identify problems— we provide solutions.
Location: Remote, California-Based
Experience: 0-5 Years
As a project-level staff member, you’ll have the opportunity to support a variety of environmental investigation, remediation, and water resources projects in California and beyond. Typical responsibilities include a blend of field and office activities such as environmental investigation fieldwork planning and implementation (e.g., sample collection, monitoring well installation, aquifer testing, etc.); reporting on the results of fieldwork programs, including analysis of laboratory and field-derived datasets to derive conclusions and provide recommendations within project teams and to regulators; remediation implementation support (e.g., groundwater system installation support, soil excavation, in-situ soil and/or groundwater treatments, etc.); and project management support, including proposal development, cost estimating, and subcontractor management.
We believe the fundamentals of consulting are best learned by doing. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on project team integration with a focus on learning about the project lifecycle early on in your career. We get you into in the field so you can understand the ‘why’ behind what we are doing. We also get you involved in work plan and report writing (related to the work you are executing in the field), as well as in cost estimating to arm you with the tools to manage tasks and projects as you gain experience. Ours is a structure that focuses on team building—one that supports both individual and team growth—and not on management structures that limit creativity and flexibility. Here, opportunity and advancement are not dictated by your years of service, but rather your contributions to ensuring EHS Support continues to be a great place to work and a global leader in providing environmental solutions for our clients.
Our approach to career development is focused on providing opportunities to gain experience and develop skills that result in well-rounded consultants. This includes opportunities to be involved in the critical process of scoping, planning, and implementing fieldwork that produces high-quality and reliable data that is essential for sound, scientific decision-making for our clients. What sets us apart is our commitment to ensuring that the individuals involved in collecting that data are also involved in reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on the results. Not only does this provide the opportunity for our team to develop practical critical thinking skills and hone their writing skills, but it ultimately results in better work products for our clients.
