Evio Overview
Evio is a highly unique pharmacy solutions company that was founded by and works closely with health plans to implement transformative (to cost, quality, access and experience) initiatives primarily focused on specialty and other high-cost medication solutions.
In 2020, a group of five amazing Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans that in total serve more than 20 million members recognized that the way medications get to patients needs significant reform—rapidly rising costs and massive system complexities are detrimental to patients and the entire industry. In 2025, Wellmark joined as Evio's first non-founding investor and sixth owner health plan. Each company made, and continues to make, significant investments to establish Evio as an independent entity to lead this transformation.
Evio has advanced analytics and contracting capabilities at scale, and a suite of digital tools, to power our high-cost medication solutions. Our solutions act as a self-reinforcing “flywheel” where each element strengthens and feeds into the next, and support an “Only Evio can do that,” mindset and prioritization.
Evio is also a company that has invested heavily in and been highly intentional about people, team and culture. We believe we have created a very special place to work and encourage candidates to observe and ask us about our culture and decide for themselves.
Evio's Values
- Empathy – The people our business serves always come first. We care for our teammates and put ourselves in the shoes of our health plan customers and the patients and clinicians our solutions benefit.
- Diversity – We are committed to fostering a culture where everyone belongs and is valued for their background, experience and insights – one that encourages diversity of ideas, and is a nurturing, trusting, and accepting place for all.
- Adventure – We are flexible, thrive in ambiguity, fail fast, and pivot quickly to get to a better answer. We celebrate wins and pivots with equal intensity.
- Relentless – Guided by evidence and data, we are creative, curious, and unwavering in our pursuit of challenging the status quo and each other.
- Transparency – Just as we seek to bring transparency to the pharmacy supply chain, authenticity and integrity are core to the way we communicate.
- Excellence – We strive to raise the bar in all we do by hiring and developing exceptional talent and holding ourselves and our thinking to the highest standard.
Systems Analyst Role
About the role:
Evio and the six health plans we represent are uniquely positioned in the market and have demonstrated success in creating innovative partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers. As the regulatory environment for health plans, PBMs/GPOs, and manufacturers rapidly evolves over the next several years, Evio is expanding our direct manufacturer contracting capabilities and growing the team supporting this work. The Systems Analyst role will translate medication contracting and operational needs into reliable systems, workflows, and data requirements that support this growing business.
You’ll work closely with medication contracting and operations teammates, product leaders, developers, data teams, and external partners to understand business processes and turn them into clear system requirements. You’ll also help test and implement application changes, investigate system and data issues, and ensure solutions work as intended for the teammates using them.
We’re looking for someone who can bring structure to complex operational and data requirements, communicate clearly with both business and technical teammates, and follow details through from requirements to testing and implementation.
What you’ll do:
- Partner with business and technical teams to understand and prioritize operational needs and translate them into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, data mappings, and system specifications.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the medication contracting processes and the operational workflows supported by assigned applications. Document current- and future-state workflows and identify practical opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
- Collaborate with developers and vendors to ensure delivered functionality meets approved requirements.
- Help prioritize application enhancements based on business value, operational impact, dependencies, and implementation effort.
- Define data requirements, validation rules, business rules, and source-to-target mappings.
- Use SQL, Excel, and other analytical tools to investigate data issues, validate application behavior, and reconcile system outputs.
- Plan and support application testing, including test cases, expected results, representative test data, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and release validation.
- Document defects clearly, investigate whether issues stem from data, configuration, process, integrations, or application functionality, and work with technical teams through resolution and retesting.
- Create and maintain application guides, process documentation, data definitions, training materials, and release communications.
- Train business users and support teams on new workflows and application functionality, explaining technical changes in clear, practical language.
- Help ensure applications maintain appropriate access controls, approval workflows, auditability, and documentation.
Your skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role supporting complex business applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, healthcare administration, data analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience translating operational processes into functional requirements, workflows, data mappings, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience developing test cases, coordinating user acceptance testing, documenting defects, and validating system releases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience investigating data discrepancies, validating system outputs, and bringing structure to ambiguous or conflicting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and working proficiency with SQL.
- Ability to interpret detailed business rules, contracts, pricing terms, or financial requirements.
- Experience working with software developers, data engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex requirements and explain processes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits, pharmaceutical contracting, rebate operations, health plan operations, or a related area.
- Familiarity with healthcare product and drug reference data, including NDC and HCPCS codes.
- Experience supporting contracting, pharmaceutical RFP proposal management, financial, pricing, or operational workflow applications.
- Experience working with APIs, structured data files, secure file transfers, or system integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile product development and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience supporting applications in a regulated environment with defined privacy, security, access-control, and audit requirements.
