Marketing Manager, UK & EU

We're truly grateful that so many people have Foundant on their radar — it means a lot that our work resonates with others. That said, due to the high volume of direct messages and emails we receive, cold outreach isn't the preferred way to be considered for a role, and we're not able to prioritize applications submitted this way. To apply for open positions, please visit our careers page, which is the fastest and most effective route to being considered.

About Foundant

At Foundant, we build mission-critical software for the social good ecosystem — helping foundations, grantmakers, nonprofits, and community organizations streamline their work, strengthen relationships, and maximize their impact. We serve the giving community worldwide with a comprehensive suite of solutions spanning grant management, community foundation software, and giving analytics.

We're a unified company shaped by strong roots across our product portfolio, and we operate with intention and purpose. Our team of ~350 people across six countries is connected by a shared North Star: to be the trusted partner and strategic advisor to the communities we serve.

Foundant is growing its presence in the UK and European philanthropic sector, and we're looking for a hands-on marketing generalist to build our audience, presence, and pipeline in the region — growing our UK and EU contact list, building partnerships that extend our reach, running in-market events, and producing the content that drives demand generation, primarily focused on the UK with an eye toward EU expansion.

We're looking for someone with 7+ years of experience working independently across B2B SaaS tech (extra points for experience in the funding or philanthropic world), comfortable owning a full remit — from demand gen and list building to campaign execution, live events, and editorial output — without a large immediate team.

Where You’ll Work:

• As a remote-first workplace, we believe in offering flexibility and the freedom to work where it suits you best, while staying connected through technology. Our global network of talent is supported by physical office hubs and virtual collaboration, fostering a dynamic environment where innovation and growth thrive.
• With office locations in Bozeman, MT, Toronto, Canada, and Dublin, Ireland, you'll be part of a globally connected team. Whether you're working remotely or from one of our office locations, you'll be contributing to a vibrant, collaborative culture focused on driving meaningful impact across the world.

List building & marketing partnerships

• Grow Foundant's UK and EU contact list and pipeline through organic and partnership-driven channels, with GDPR-compliant list-building practices.
• Identify, pitch, and manage co-marketing and channel partnerships with sector associations, philanthropy networks, and complementary vendors to extend reach across the UK and into Europe.
• Build relationships with UK and European philanthropy influencers, associations, and media — including membership bodies, to widen distribution for Foundant content and events and support European positioning.

Events on the ground

• Plan and run in-person events across the UK and near EU, from lunch and learns to larger panels and support conference presences end to end (venue, logistics, speakers, promotion, follow-up).
• Represent Foundant at relevant UK and European industry conferences and sector gatherings.

Content & demand generation

• Develop demand-generation content specific to the UK and European philanthropic sector: eBooks, webinars, panels, reports, and blog posts.
• Either write this content directly or manage freelance/contract writers to produce it, depending on volume and specialization needed.
• Repurpose and localize existing Foundant content (US/AU) for the UK and EU market and voice where appropriate.
• Coordinate with the US-based marketing team on campaign timing, assets, and performance reporting.

Website & digital

• Build up Foundant's UK/EU LinkedIn following through targeted, locally relevant content.
• Maintain light, timely coverage of the Foundant website for the UK/EU market during UK business hours.
• Work with the digital marketing manager on keyword strategy for paid search and Google Ads targeting the UK and EU markets.
• Support lead generation and conversion through SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization) for UK/EU search and AI-assistant visibility, capturing leads from across the wider region.

• 7+ years of marketing experience, with a significant portion working indepentantly (not just part of a large in house team)
• Background spanning both the philanthropic/nonprofit sector and tech/SaaS
• Excellent writing and editorial skills — able to write publication-ready content and to brief, edit, and manage other writers, and to write strong strategic emails, and sales collateral specific to the region.
• Experience building and executing in-person events, ideally in the UK or a similar market.
• Comfort working autonomously across a broad remit, prioritizing across list growth, partnerships, events, and content.
• Familiarity with demand-generation fundamentals (campaigns, lead capture, webinars) and reporting on results.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and its implications for marketing and list-building in the UK and EU.
• Must be legally eligable to work in the UK or EU.

• Existing relationships within the UK or European philanthropic or grantmaking ecosystem, including membership bodies such as PHILEA.
• Experience with grant management or fundraising software, or adjacent nonprofit tech.
• Prior experience standing up a market presence from scratch (rather than scaling an existing one).
• Additional European language skills and familiarity with grantmaking norms outside the UK.

• At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to innovation and making a positive impact. Whether you’re working on projects that empower not-for-profits, community foundations, or corporations, your contributions will help drive real-world change.
• We offer competitive salary and benefits, including tuition, and lifestyle reimbursements, and bespoke mindfulness and fitness initiatives.
• With our Flexible PTO policy, you’ll have the freedom to manage your time in a way that supports your personal well-being and professional success.
• We’re committed to your professional and personal development.  With our merger, you'll have the chance to collaborate across teams, giving you exposure to diverse ideas, expertise, and projects that span multiple industries.
• As part of a larger organization, you’ll have even more opportunities to grow your career. Whether it’s exploring new roles, leadership opportunities, or shifting to a different department, we support internal mobility to help you achieve your career goals
• You’ll enjoy autonomy and responsibility, empowering you to approach your work creatively and independently, fostering innovation and independent thought.
• Employee recognition is a core part of our culture. When you do a great job, we make sure everyone knows about it!
