Business Development Manager - Poland, Slovakia & Hungary

Your mission

Shopping centres are experts in retail, not in payment technology, and they shouldn't need to be. As our Business Development Manager for Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, you bridge the gap between shopping centres' commercial priorities and the technology that helps them achieve those goals. You understand what drives a centre's success, and you show decision-makers how Giftify's solutions create real business value for them. Reporting to the Team Lead Business Development, you expand our presence across the region, build your own pipeline and close new deals across three markets, each with its own players and buying habits.

What you'll do

• Portfolio expansion: Identify and approach new shopping centres, property owners and asset managers across Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

• Sell value, not features: Run real discovery to understand each centre's commercial goals, then build a business case in their language, not ours.

• Adapt to each market: Tailor your approach to how decisions get made in each country, from international property groups to locally owned centres.

• Navigate complex decisions: Centre management, marketing, finance and the owner or asset manager behind them often all have a say. You map these stakeholders and bring them into alignment.

• Translate in both directions: Turn complex topics into what actually matters to the client, and bring market feedback back to Product and Marketing in a form they can act on.

• Teamwork: Work with Legal, Client Success, Product and Marketing so contracts close smoothly and onboarding goes well.

• Be visible in the market: Meet clients and represent Giftify at industry events across Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, and occasionally elsewhere in Europe.

Your profile

• 5+ years in B2B new-business sales with your own quota

• A proven track record of selling a technical or complex product to non-technical buyers. You can name the deal, the business problem and the measurable result for the client.

• Experience with sales cycles that run over several months and involve multiple stakeholders, ideally where the decision-maker is a commercial, marketing or finance lead rather than IT.

• Native or native-level (C2) Polish and professional English.

• Based in Poland, and comfortable travelling regularly to Hungary and Slovakia.

• Disciplined pipeline management in a CRM (we use HubSpot).

Strong plus

• Hungarian or Slovakian, or experience selling into those markets.

• A network or sales experience in retail real estate, shopping centres, retail or consumer marketing.

• Background in payments, gift cards, loyalty or fintech.

• Experience covering several countries from one base.

This role is probably not for you if…

• Your strength is mainly account management or growing existing customers.

• Most of your selling has been to IT or technical teams, where features and specs win the deal.

• You prefer a fully built playbook and a steady flow of inbound leads.

Our offer

• Work in a fast-growing fintech company expanding its European presence.

• Be part of a collaborative and international environment with over 25 nationalities.

• Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.

• Play a key role in shaping Giftify's future in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

Our values

At Giftify, three values shape how we work, and they're at the heart of this role:

• Own it. You take full ownership of three markets at once. You identify the right shopping centres, close the deal, and make sure each new partner is set up for success. Across Poland, Hungary and Slovakia, you treat your pipeline as your own business and hold yourself accountable for the results.

• Commit to progress. Each market has its own pace, players and expectations, so there's no one-size-fits-all playbook. You stay curious about local trends and competitor moves, adapt your approach country by country, and learn from every pitch, won or lost.

• Stronger together. Growing across borders takes a team. You work hand in hand with Legal, Product, Client Success and Marketing, share what you hear in each market, and make sure every new partner has a smooth onboarding experience across teams.

If these values sound like you, we'd love to hear from you.
