About Glia

Glia is the #1 Banking AI platform, empowering community and regional financial institutions to create efficiencies, accelerate loan growth, drive deposits, and deliver experiences that win against megabanks and fintechs.

Glia's Banking AI Operating System is a central intelligence layer on top of existing tech stacks, activating an AI workforce of specialized agents that draw from banking data, interaction history, and integrated systems of record. These banking-trained agents automate workflows across voice and digital–from front office to back office–resulting in decreased operational costs and the Universal Banker model.

Trusted by 700+ banks and credit unions for its ironclad security and reliability, Glia delivers the industry’s first contractual no-hallucination guarantee. It’s why Glia customers quickly and confidently put Banking AI to work with measurable results from day one. More information about Glia can be found at glia.com.

The Mission & The Work
Glia’s AI agents are moving beyond answering questions. They now act for customers: they check details, complete requests and confirm who they’re talking to. Team Sudo builds the trusted layer that makes this safe in a regulated industry.

The team owns three connected areas:

• Identity & access. Authentication and authorization across the platform. This covers how both people and AI agents prove who they are and what they’re allowed to do. Security and data privacy aren’t a feature here; everything else is built on them.

• Connectors & tools. The integration layer that connects Glia to the systems our customers already run on and turns them into safe, governed tools that AI agents and automated workflows can use. It is multi-tenant, auditable, and built for many integrations, each configured differently per customer.

• Customer data foundation. A new initiative to bring customer data from those systems into one AI-ready view of each customer, so every interaction, whether with a person or an AI agent, starts with the right context.

You’ll lead the team’s most complex and ambiguous projects in these areas. That means shaping the problem with the product, designing the architecture and taking it to production. Much of this work is new and shapes the platform’s direction, and other teams across Glia often build on what you deliver.

What We’re Looking for

At the senior level, we expect your code output to be high. What sets you apart is how you operate: how independently you carry the work, how good your decisions are along the way, and how well you communicate around them. We’ll set the level based on the complexity of what you’ve led and how consistently you’ve delivered it.

While our core needs might involve Elixir, Go, or Ruby, we strongly value architectural thinking over language loyalty. You should be prepared to work across different stacks.

We generally look for the following qualifications:

• Project leadership: You’ve led complex, ambiguous projects from idea to production. You planned them, defined the scope, aligned stakeholders and were accountable for what landed.

• Architecture & Technical Strategy: Architect distributed, multi-tenant systems and navigate complex tradeoffs, focusing on high-level system design and creating foundational patterns that have been widely adopted by other teams.

• AI fluency in real engineering work: This is a core requirement. You already use tools like Claude Code to design, build, review and ship. You can direct agents and verify their output, and you have a view on where they help and where they don’t. Experience building with LLMs or agentic systems (tool calling, MCP or similar) is a strong plus.

• Technical foundation: You typically have 8+ years of professional experience. You have a strong command of production languages, containerized cloud infrastructure (AWS) and event-driven architecture. Experience in fintech or another regulated industry is a plus.

• Multiplying others: You mentor several engineers, take part in hiring, help shape the team’s technical direction and raise the bar for everyone around you.

• Security and integration depth: You have hands-on experience with authentication and authorization (for example OAuth2/OIDC, token-based auth, fine-grained permissions), with building integrations with third-party systems at scale, or both. You care about data privacy and you design for it.

No problem if you miss a few of these qualifications. If you find it interesting to learn them, do still apply.

Our Collaboration Model

Team Sudo has engineers in Estonia (Tallinn and Tartu) and Poland, and our processes are optimized for remote collaboration. While we are remote-first, we have physical offices in both Tallinn and Tartu, so if you are based in Estonia, you’ll have the option to work from there if you prefer. We work in the Eastern European time zone (EET/EEST) and are hiring for this role in Estonia and Poland.

Our Tech Stack

• Coding languages: Elixir, Ruby, Rust, Go, Javascript (React)

• Current Persistence Solutions: Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3

• Infrastructure: AWS

• Monitoring: DataDog

• CI/CD: Jenkins

• AI: Claude Code, Gemini

• Other: AWS services, Kafka, GitHub

Note: We are constantly evolving our tech stack to ensure the usage of the right tools for specific needs, and you will be part of the process of choosing new technologies.
