
Accountabilities:
The Sales Manager, Employer Markets will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals, improving sales performance, and driving consistent revenue growth through effective coaching, strategic planning, and operational excellence. This role requires a strong people leader who can balance team development with business results while fostering collaboration across the organization. Lead, coach, and develop sales professionals through regular mentorship, pipeline reviews, territory planning, and performance coaching. Build and maintain a high-performing sales culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and achieving revenue goals. Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions focused on opportunity strategy, prospecting, executive presentations, negotiation, and closing techniques. Drive accountability for sales activities, pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and achievement of individual and team objectives. Support onboarding and ramp-up programs for new team members by accelerating product knowledge, sales skills, and internal processes. Develop and reinforce sales methodologies through coaching frameworks, enablement programs, playbooks, and training initiatives. Analyze sales performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and remove barriers impacting team success. Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Client Success, Operations, and Revenue Operations teams to improve customer engagement and sales execution. Coach team members on developing strategic relationships with employers, brokers, consultants, and distribution partners. Ensure effective adoption of CRM platforms, sales engagement solutions, AI-enabled sales tools, and pipeline management processes. Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to support sales strategy and team development. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader with a strong background in enterprise sales, team development, and consultative selling. You should have demonstrated success building accountable teams, managing complex sales cycles, and using data-driven insights to improve performance. 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or a related consultative sales environment. 4+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams. Proven ability to build engaged teams that consistently achieve sales targets and business objectives. Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to develop sales professionals at different experience levels. Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, performance metrics, and sales execution processes. Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to use sales data to drive improvements. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving business environment. Experience managing remote or geographically distributed sales teams is preferred. Experience selling healthcare, employer benefits, or complex B2B solutions is a plus. Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales enablement tools, AI-powered sales technologies, and marketing automation solutions is preferred.
