
Accountabilities
Manage account reconciliations and monthly accounting activities for assigned accounts, including prepaids, commissions, rebate reserves, and other financial areas. Prepare recurring journal entries, month-end accruals, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Administer distributor rebate programs by reviewing customer deductions, claims, and contract compliance requirements. Serve as a key contact for intercompany transactions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment. Partner with non-finance stakeholders to analyze sales deductions, expenses, and operational activities to determine appropriate accounting practices. Support internal and external audit processes by preparing account schedules, documentation, and financial support materials. Assist with state and local sales tax reporting activities across monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual filing cycles. Help maintain strong internal controls by following accounting policies, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting process optimization initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based organization. Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial controls. Experience working with ERP and financial systems; familiarity with OneStream and Infor is a plus. Additional experience with platforms such as XA, BaaN, Syteline, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, SAP, or similar systems is preferred. Exposure to rebates, sales deductions, intercompany accounting, or sales tax support is an advantage. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach and commitment to accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organization. Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
