Layer is the AI creative platform for games and entertainment. Studios, brands and UA teams use Layer to make on-brand video ads, playables and static creatives, with 500+ models and best-in-class AI agents. Our customers include Take-Two, Zynga, King, SciPlay and hundreds of other studios who use Layer every day to power their games and marketing campaigns.
If you're the kind of person who wants to talk to real people at the intersection of AI development and video games, this is the role for you. You'll be Layer's voice for the people who make games: the artists and art directors in our Discord and Creator Network (https://layer.ai/creators), our followers on social, and the art, marketing and UA teams at the studios and brands we work with. You'll help us grow all three by talking directly with our customers while building the bots, agents and automations that keep our comms humming at all hours. This is a contract role with the opportunity to convert to full-time in the future.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Grow and run the Layer Discord: implementing Discord bots, onboarding new users, providing a daily presence, moderation and hosting events.
- Run the Creator Network: recruit artists, review portfolios, bring feedback to the Layer team and get our partner artists' work seen. Introduce the best creators to our studios through our Talent Network.
- Work directly with studio and brand communities: run creative challenges and showcases, launch new features, and coordinate with their teams.
- Help create Layer's voice on X, Reddit, LinkedIn and YouTube, participating in AI art and game-dev conversations across the platforms.
- Showcase and spotlight exceptional work that the Layer team, our Discord community and our creators make across social media.
- Report bugs, user requests and sentiment to our product team every week.
- Be a tireless advocate for efficiency and automation across the community management process.
YOU'LL FIT IF YOU
- Have worked inside a game studio or publisher in community, social, creator or marketing roles, and know how studios think about IP, launches and players. Bonus if this has been part of the creative studio teams.
- Have a relentless curiosity for things AI, especially image, video or 3D tools you yourself make.
- Have a strong opinion about what tools are worth adopting and which are not.
- Have a track record of growing Discord or creator communities.
- Have a real history in art tooling or game-dev communities.
- Write clearly and warmly.
- Can communicate as easily with the development team as with our customers and artists.
- Build your own workflows, bots or agents to help manage your communities.
OTHER TRAITS WE LOOK FOR IN EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES

- A deep desire to learn: you have a relentless sense of curiosity and a desire to push the latest tools to the limit.
- A deep personal network: a network across studios, brands or UA agencies of people you trust and can work with.
- An international team: speak another language? Live internationally? This is the team for you.

HOW TO APPLY
Skip the cover letter. Send links to a community you grew, a creator program you ran, something you made with AI, and any bot or agent you built. Add a 2-minute Loom on the last AI model you tried and what you made with it. The process is a 30-minute screen, a short paid task and a conversation with the team.
