Business Immigration Associate – Remote, Mid-Senior Level Associate Yrs (H/L/PERM/E)
Manifest Law · Full-time · Posted 2d ago
Manifest Law is one of the first AI-native corporate immigration firms in the country, and one of the fastest-growing — proof that attorneys want to practice law this way. Our attorneys handle sophisticated, high-stakes matters, with technology that removes the busywork rather than replacing the lawyer.
Manifest was built to offer the best of both worlds: the scale of a larger firm with the quality client service of a boutique. Manifest OS — the technology that powers the firm — carries the operational weight, so our attorneys spend their time where it actually matters: on strategy, on judgment, on the client in front of them. The result is a practice with the care of a boutique and the capability of a large firm.
We think the practice of law should be a craft, and the attorneys who do it well deserve a practice that grows with them — supported by technology, not replaced by it, with the time and autonomy to build something that's genuinely their own. We're building the kind of institution attorneys are proud to put on their résumé.
This is a firm for attorneys who want more from their career: real ownership of your cases, the kind of client relationships that come from having time with them, a sustainable pace, and a front-row seat in building what a modern immigration practice can look like.
Immigration law has been done the same way for decades. We're here to raise the bar, and we're hiring the people who will raise it with us.
Own your matters end to end. As a senior member of the client team, you’ll take matters from handoff through final submission with minimal supervision. You’ll build the legal strategy, manage every milestone, and guide clients through one of the most important decisions of their lives.
Know your clients deeply. Develop expert-level understanding of your client base, the industries they operate in, and Manifest Law’s practice areas and services, so your advice reflects their business, not just their petition.
Solve complex problems creatively. Research technical immigration issues, apply legal precedent to specific client situations, and develop solutions across H-1B, PERM, L-1A/B, TN, E-1/E-2/E-3, O-1A, EB-1C, and EB-2 NIW matters. Clients range from funded startups to large enterprises.
Lead strategy on complex cases. Independently execute case preparation and filing, and advise clients directly on petition strategy, RFE responses, and compliance obligations.
Assess and advise in a consultative capacity. Use your legal judgment to evaluate which prospects have viable cases, build trust quickly, and set honest, clear expectations from the first conversation.
Communicate with clarity. Translate complex issues for audiences ranging from founders and HR teams to in-house counsel. Respond proactively, within team SLAs, in a way that is precise, thoughtful, and organized.
Build lasting client relationships. Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders through client meetings, briefings, workshops, Q&A sessions, and proactive case reporting. Manage high-volume employer accounts, HR contacts, and deadlines.
Develop the people around you. Mentor, coach, and manage the performance of junior attorneys and team members, directly or indirectly. Partner with your team on document collection and filing logistics so your time stays on strategy and outcomes.
Work AI-native. Use Manifest Law’s AI tools and technology as a genuine performance multiplier for case quality and efficiency, not as a shortcut.
Uphold our standards. Make sure you and your team follow firm protocols on file maintenance, record keeping, data quality, and risk mitigation, so we stay compliant with regulatory, operational, and client requirements.
Drive results and growth. Meet individual and team productivity goals, and spot opportunities to expand the services we provide to clients.
Make the work better. Proactively find and implement improvements to the quality, efficiency, and standardization of our processes and services.
Help build the firm. Understand the business strategy of your practice area and the firm, and take part in marketing and business development opportunities.
Collaborate firmwide. Share knowledge and work closely with colleagues across teams and practice areas.
Pitch in where it counts. Take on other responsibilities as the firm grows and evolves.
J.D. and active admission to a U.S. state bar.
4+ years of experience at Associate level
Exceptional working knowledge of employment-based immigration law across NIV and IV matters. Ideally that includes PERM, H-1B, L-1A/B, and TN, alongside E-3, O-1A, EB-1C, and EB-2 NIW.
Prior experience managing or mentoring a team is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills. You explain complex legal concepts in plain language and make HR contacts and beneficiaries feel supported.
A client-first mindset: You’re dedicated to exceptional service and take real ownership of the client experience.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. You document thoroughly and hand off cleanly.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially on complex or ambiguous fact patterns.
Comfort with pace: You thrive in a high-cadence environment with real volume expectations, and you manage competing priorities without dropping the details.
A team builder: You contribute to a positive, collaborative culture, even in a fully remote setting.
● Higher-agency work | Intake, document collection, status tracking, and client updates run through Manifest OS — the administrative weight of practice is reduced. Your day goes to strategy, drafting, and the client.
● No billable hour | We charge clients flat fees, so there's no timekeeping requirement and no billable target. Your work is judged on outcomes — what gets filed and how clients experience the relationship — not hours recorded.
● Remote by design | The legal side of the firm works remotely. It's how the firm was built, and there are no plans to change it — practice from wherever you do your best work.
● Real upside | Pay is competitive from day one, strong work is rewarded as the practice grows.
● Ground floor | Manifest is an ambitious firm building the infrastructure to last — and to change the way law firms operate. Attorneys who join now grow with it: into senior roles, into leadership, into shaping what the practice becomes next.
● Your experience shapes the practice | Attorney feedback and firsthand case experience directly inform what the firm builds next, so the technology keeps evolving around how the best lawyers actually work.
We're looking for attorneys who lead through expertise, treat Manifest's technology as a genuine performance multiplier rather than a shortcut, and want to do the most meaningful work of their careers.
The attorneys who thrive here are full-time, deeply client-centered, tech-forward, and mission-driven — energized by building something real, not just joining something finished. If that's you, we want to hear from you.
