OUR VALUES

We win when our customers win. Our customers are at the heart of every decision we make. We obsess over their challenges, understand their world deeply, and measure our own success by the value we create for them.

We own the outcome. We take full responsibility for our work, end to end. We don’t pass problems on, we raise our hand when something needs fixing, and we follow through until it’s done.

We act with integrity. We are honest, transparent, and decent in everything we do with our customers, our colleagues, and our partners. We do the right thing, even when no one is watching.

We do better every day. We stay curious, we learn continuously, and we are never satisfied with good enough. We simplify complexity, challenge the status quo, and look for better ways to solve real problems.

T

The Compliance Analyst (KYC & KYB) sits in Marcura's Compliance team and carries out first line customer due diligence across the Group's regulated and unregulated business units. The Analyst onboards and reviews individual and corporate customers and counterparties, verifying identity, ownership and control, source of funds and nature of business, and applies enhanced due diligence to higher risk relationships and PEPs. Every decision is made in line with Marcura policy and procedure and is written up clearly on the case file. Where the Analyst knows or suspects money laundering or terrorist financing, they report it to the MLRO.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

List 5 to 8 primary accountabilities. Begin each with a strong action verb.

• Complete KYC and KYB checks on new individual and corporate customers and counterparties at onboarding, verifying identity, legal existence, directors, nature of business, source of funds and expected account activity, and making sure no relationship goes live until due diligence is complete.

• Identify and verify the ultimate beneficial owners and controllers of corporate customers, working through layered or offshore ownership structures and recording how each has been confirmed.

• Assess and record a customer risk rating in line with Marcura's risk assessment methodology, taking account of jurisdiction, industry, ownership complexity and the products used.

• Apply enhanced due diligence to higher risk relationships and politically exposed persons, obtaining further evidence of source of funds and source of wealth and preparing the file for senior approval.

• Conduct periodic and event-driven reviews of existing customers, refreshing documents and information, re-assessing the risk rating and confirming the relationship remains within risk appetite.

• Respond to requests for information from our banking partners on customer identity, ownership and due diligence records accurately and by the deadline given, flagging any request that raises a wider concern.

• Report any knowledge or suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing identified during due diligence to the MLRO straight away through an internal suspicious activity report, without tipping off the customer or anyone else.
