Director, Solutions Consulting

Company Overview

PERSUIT is transforming the way the world's leading legal departments select, engage and manage outside counsel and control legal spend. Our end-to-end platform, powered by AI and a modern user experience, takes legal spend from intake through to invoice and brings transparency, efficiency and intelligence to a market that has long relied on legacy e-billing and fragmented matter management. Legal spend is rising, AI is reshaping legal operations, and we're just getting started.

The Role

As the Director of Solution Consulting, you'll own presales across PERSUIT's full platform and serve as the technical and value heartbeat of our sales process, bridging the gap between what PERSUIT can do and what Fortune 500 legal departments need to see, feel and believe before they buy. This isn't a "demo jockey" role. You'll shape the narrative, build the demos and design solutions that span the entire legal spend workflow, from outside counsel selection and engagement through to billing and invoice review, for audiences ranging from the General Counsel to IT.

You'll be a strategic voice in our biggest deals, working alongside Sales leadership to shape how they're won, and you'll partner with our CEO and Product leadership so that what you learn in the field directly shapes the platform's roadmap. You'll also own and build the function. You'll start as a hands-on player-coach leading a small team, setting the presales motion, standards and best practices, and scaling the team globally as we grow. We're looking for someone who is energized by rolling up their sleeves on live enterprise deals while thinking strategically about how to build a world-class presales practice.

Key Responsibilities

Global Presales Leadership

Own presales strategy and execution across all regions and the full end-to-end platform, not a point solution. Set the technical and value narrative for every enterprise opportunity and manage proof-of-concept engagements from scoping through to decision.

Deal Strategy

Act as a strategic peer to Account Executives and Sales leadership on our most important opportunities. Shape win themes, map multi-stakeholder buying committees, surface technical and commercial risk early, and directly influence how deals are structured and won.

Executive Demonstrations and Storytelling

Design and deliver tailored, high-impact demos and narratives that resonate with GCs, CLOs, legal operations, procurement, finance and IT, going well beyond a standard walkthrough to show prospects what's possible across their entire legal spend workflow.

Business Case and Solution Design

Build bespoke end-to-end solution designs, quantified business cases and prototype workflows that let prospects visualize exactly how PERSUIT transforms their environment before they sign.

Rapid Prototyping and Demo Innovation

Use AI-powered build tools and modern technology to create tailored demo environments, interactive prototypes and data-driven visualizations at the speed of the deal, and set the bar for how PERSUIT shows value.

Technical Discovery

Lead structured discovery with legal operations, procurement, finance and IT stakeholders to surface requirements, integration needs (e-billing, ERP, matter management and data platforms), security considerations and evaluation criteria early in the process.

Presales to Implementation Handoff

Own a seamless transition from presales to implementation so that what is sold is what is delivered. Ensure scope, success criteria and solution design are clearly documented, and that Customer Success and implementation teams start every engagement with full context.

Product and Roadmap Influence

Partner with the CEO and Product leadership to shape strategy and roadmap priorities, bringing enterprise client insight and competitive intelligence to Product and Marketing to sharpen positioning.

Team Building and Management

Hire, develop and lead a growing global Solution Consulting team, establishing the presales motion, repeatable processes, demo standards, playbooks and enablement resources that scale as the team expands.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting or a related presales role, with at least 4 years leading presales teams, ideally including building or scaling a function
• A proven track record supporting complex enterprise SaaS sales into Fortune 500 or global organizations, including large, multi-year deals with multi-stakeholder buying committees
• Executive presence: you can deliver compelling, consultative demos and narratives to GCs, CLOs and other C-suite stakeholders, as well as legal operations, procurement and IT audiences
• Experience designing solutions across end-to-end business workflows rather than single products, and translating complex requirements into clear solution narratives and quantified business cases
• Demonstrated influence on deal strategy and outcomes, working as a peer to Sales leadership rather than a support function
• Experience partnering with Product leadership to shape roadmap priorities using structured field insight
• Hands-on fluency with modern AI tools, with the confidence to build prototypes, demo assets and data-driven visualizations yourself
• Strong operational rigor, including defining presales metrics, coverage and capacity models, and processes while managing multiple active deals simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: you can make technical concepts feel approachable and business value feel concrete
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, resource-efficient scale-up environment where you'll often be building the process as you go, and willingness to travel internationally

Preferred Experience

• Legal technology, legal operations, e-billing, matter management or legal spend management platforms
• Selling to, or working within, the in-house legal departments of large global enterprises
• Building a presales function from an early stage and scaling it across regions (North America, EMEA and APAC)
• Using AI-native build tools (for example Claude, Cursor, Lovable or v0) to turn a discovery call into a working, prospect-specific prototype or interactive demo in hours rather than weeks
• Working with APIs, integrations and data: connecting prototypes to sample data, configuring sandboxes and designing integration architectures with e-billing, ERP and finance systems
• Building data-driven value tools, such as ROI models, spend analytics or benchmark dashboards, that prospects can explore with their own numbers
• Developing reusable demo environments, sandbox configurations and demo libraries that the wider sales team can use
• Value-selling methodologies (such as MEDDPICC) and modern revenue tooling (such as HubSpot or Salesforce, Gong and presales platforms)
• Collaborating closely with Product teams to translate field learnings into roadmap input

Location & Work Authorization

This is a global role with regular international travel. While the position is remote, candidates must have current, valid work authorization in the country where the role is based. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide sponsorship for visas or work permits at this time.
