Pinwheel makes the first smartphone built for kids. We pair off-the-shelf hardware with our own software so parents can hand their kid a phone without handing them the whole internet. We have sold thousands of units, raised venture capital, and are moving into full growth mode.
This role sits inside our Operations team, and it covers the design work a growing company generates constantly and rarely has anyone to own.
Packaging sleeves. Stickers. Print pieces. The visuals that go out to the whole company: announcements, milestones, birthdays, work anniversaries. None of it is campaign work. All of it is seen, and at the moment none of it looks like it came from the same company.
We want one person holding the visual standard across all of it.
What you will work on
Packaging: sleeves, inserts, and print-ready files for production. Stickers, labels and small print runs. Internal company visuals: announcements, updates, celebration graphics. Templates the team can reuse without breaking them. Bringing existing operations visuals into line with our brand.
What makes someone right for this
A portfolio with a clear point of view. We will judge on taste as much as technique. You can work to brand guidelines, and tell us honestly when they are not working. Comfortable across print and digital, and you understand print production properly. You build reusable systems, not just one-off files. Fast turnaround on small pieces, with quality holding at volume.
Nice to have
Consumer product or packaging design experience. Work aimed at families or children that still looks good to adults. Experience building template systems for non-designers.
How this works
Fractional and project based. Hours vary by what is in the queue, and we are flexible on when you work. Time tracked via Hubstaff. Remote, anywhere, provided you are comfortable working to US Central deadlines.
The person we contract is the person who does the work. Passing the work to someone else will be treated as fraud.
