Position Summary
The Clinical Support Registered Nurse serves as a vital member of a dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to support patient care, interpret medical information, and collaborate with providers to ensure safe, effective, and timely care delivery. You will serve as a primary clinical point of contact for patients—supporting lab interpretation, care coordination, treatment education, and provider communication while working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. This position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist providers in reviewing and interpreting medical data, including lab results and diagnostic testing
Communicate clinical findings and next steps to patients under provider guidance
Order labs and diagnostic testing as directed and ensure accuracy of information submitted
Gather and review relevant medical history to support provider decision-making
Escalate urgent or complex clinical concerns appropriately
Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in the EHR
Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards
Conduct scheduled 20-minute phone consultations to review patient goals, current medications, medical history, and available care plan options
Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and digital platforms in a timely and professional manner
Provide clear, compassionate education regarding treatment plans, lab results, and therapies
Meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for responsiveness and quality standards
Maintain professionalism and clinical accuracy during peak volume periods
Schedule and coordinate telehealth visits and follow-ups as needed
Collaborate closely with providers and cross-functional teams to ensure continuity of care
Utilize Microsoft Teams and internal systems for effective communication and workflow management
Support evolving workflows and participate in process improvement initiatives
Stay informed on developments in medical testing, therapies, and care protocols
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
3+ years of progressive clinical nursing experience
Prior experience in sales
Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic testing procedures, and evidence-based treatment therapies, with the ability to apply clinical expertise in a remote care setting
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex clinical information clearly and effectively to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Proven adaptability and agility in learning and integrating new processes, workflows, and emerging technologies into daily practice
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms, with the ability to accurately maintain clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and other digital collaboration tools, with experience supporting remote team communication and care coordination
Demonstrated commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with a strong focus on patient engagement, education, and satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a remote or virtual healthcare environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Remote work environment; home office or dedicated workspace required
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Occasional virtual meetings via video conferencing (camera on expected)
Reliable high-speed internet connection required
Must maintain a distraction-free, professional background for video calls
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am–5pm Central
