Brand Manager

About Ritual

Ritual is a personal health brand that is raising the bar for daily wellness. Known for our best-selling, clinically backed prenatal, we create science-backed supplements with transparency at their core. We believe women deserve products they can trust, backed by real evidence—not just promises.

We started by reinventing the multivitamin with the first visible supply chain of its kind. Today, we’re expanding into new categories with the same high standards that built our reputation. Hundreds of thousands trust Ritual, and we’re growing fast.

Our team of 120+ scientists, creatives, and skeptics is raising the bar for women’s health. We’re venture-backed, based in sunny Los Angeles, and always looking for people ready to challenge the industry—and do the best work of their careers.

About the role

The Brand Manager leads the positioning, commercialization, and go-to-market strategy for a portfolio of Ritual products. This role owns how assigned products are brought to market and communicated to consumers across DTC, Amazon, and Retail.

The Brand Manager independently leads defined product and commercialization initiatives, translating consumer, product, and business insights into clear marketing strategies and compelling consumer storytelling. This person serves as a cross-functional partner across Innovation, Science, Regulatory, Creative, Growth, and Customer, proactively identifying opportunities, navigating tradeoffs, and driving work forward within their scope.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end product commercialization and go-to-market strategy for assigned products and key initiatives, developing positioning, messaging, launch plans, and integrated marketing strategies from concept through execution.
• Develop clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging, independently translating product features, scientific information, consumer insights, and competitive trends into compelling consumer-facing stories.
• Serve as the cross-functional marketing lead for assigned launches and commercialization initiatives, building strong partnerships and driving alignment across Product Innovation, Science, Regulatory, Creative, Growth, Customer, Retail, Sales, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and execute integrated launch and marketing plans in partnership with channel teams, proactively identifying dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs and bringing forward recommendations to keep initiatives moving. Ensure current portfolio health is checked and tracking towards goals.
• Lead ongoing product messaging and creative optimization, using consumer insights, competitive trends, and performance data to identify opportunities, test new approaches, and improve product adoption, conversion, and engagement.
• Monitor and analyze product and campaign performance, synthesizing multiple sources of business, consumer, and market data into clear insights, recommendations, and actions.
• Partner with Consumer Insights and Product Innovation to understand consumer needs, category trends, and whitespace opportunities, helping inform product positioning, innovation, and future commercialization strategies.
• Manage key elements of the product lifecycle, including expansions, reformulations, packaging updates, claims changes, and other initiatives, while proactively identifying gaps and opportunities that improve the consumer experience and product performance.

Who you are

• A creative problem solver. You independently work through routine challenges and bottlenecks, and when facing a new or more complex problem, you bring forward thoughtful options and recommendations—not just questions.
• Strategic and curious. You are naturally curious and dig deep to understand consumers, products, categories, and business performance. You can quickly absorb new information and adapt your approach when priorities or strategies shift.
• A dot connector. You look beyond your immediate work to understand dependencies, tradeoffs, and opportunities across teams. You proactively identify potential gaps and help connect the right people and information to move work forward.
• A sound decision maker. You use multiple inputs—including data, consumer insights, stakeholder perspectives, and judgment—to make thoughtful decisions and clearly articulate your rationale.
• A strong collaborator. You build productive relationships across functions, proactively share information, and adapt your working style to complement the strengths and expertise of others.
• A clear and kind communicator. You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, tailoring your message and communication style to the audience and creating alignment around priorities, decisions, and next steps.
• An agile learner. You embrace new information, approaches, and ways of working. You adapt quickly to changing priorities, identify potential friction early, and view change as an opportunity to improve.
• Accountable for the outcome. You take ownership of your work from start to finish, maintain a high bar for quality, proactively communicate risks or timeline changes, and use the appropriate tools and support to keep projects moving.

What you'll need

• Education: BS/BA, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience also accepted.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Brand Management, Marketing, or a related role, preferably within CPG, VMS, wellness, beauty, or another consumer-focused industry.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading product launches, commercialization initiatives, or complex marketing workstreams from strategy through execution.
• Strong experience developing product positioning, messaging, and consumer-facing marketing, with the ability to translate complex product information into clear and compelling storytelling.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to independently resolve routine challenges and bring thoughtful options and recommendations to leadership when navigating more complex or ambiguous decisions.
• Ability to synthesize multiple sources of consumer, market, and business data to identify opportunities, understand tradeoffs, and recommend clear paths forward.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and project management skills, with strong accountability for deliverable quality, timelines, and project outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships, proactively connect workstreams, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed above. We're committed to building a diverse team and recognize that skills can be developed in many different ways.
