Remote Clinical Psychologist – Older Adults (PSYPACT)

Do the work you trained for, without the parts that burn you out. Sailor Health is hiring PSYPACT-authorized clinical psychologists to provide telehealth therapy to older adults across participating states, fully from home. Your PSYPACT authorization means more patients, more flexibility, and a caseload that fills fast. We handle the rest: billing, admin, and real clinical support, so your time goes to patients. Don’t just take our word for it: read what our clinicians say in our Indeed reviews.

🌊 About Sailor Health

Older adults are too often overlooked by mental healthcare. Sailor Health exists to change that. Through Medicare-covered therapy, care navigation, and healthcare advocacy, we help older adults move through grief, loss, isolation, and life’s hardest transitions with more ease and peace of mind.

Our model is built around their needs and yours:

• We handle everything outside the session. Care Navigators and Healthcare Advocates take on patients’ non-clinical needs, so your work stays clinical.

• You’re part of a team. Clinical Quality Leads provide ongoing consultation, and our provider support team answers questions as they come up.

• Demand is steady. We serve patients in all 50 states, with a consistent flow of referrals.

⭐ The Position

Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the U.S. | Schedule: You set it, 7 days a week available

We’re hiring PSYPACT-authorized clinical psychologists (PhD or PsyD) for part-time or full-time roles, paid per session. You’ll see patients across PSYPACT states, so your schedule fills faster than it would with a single-state license. Choose the setup that fits your life:

• 1099 contractor: starting at 15 hours per week

• W2 employee: starting at 25 hours per week, with full benefits

💙 What We Offer

• Put your PSYPACT authorization to work. We serve older adults across participating states, so your authorization turns directly into a fuller, more flexible caseload.

• A full caseload, built for you. Share your availability and we’ll match you with patients who fit. No marketing, no chasing referrals. Most clinicians have a full caseload within a few weeks.

• Support that’s actually there. A dedicated clinical lead and live admin help. Our providers tell us it’s the most supported they’ve felt in telehealth.

• Your schedule, your call. Work the days and hours that suit you. No on-call, no required evenings.

• Less paperwork, more therapy. Our telehealth platform and AI documentation assistant handle the busywork.

• Room to grow. Free CEs, geriatric-focused training, and clinical consultation with experienced directors.

• Pay that works for you. 1099 clinicians earn competitive per-session rates, paid as full cash compensation.

• Full benefits for W2 clinicians (25+ hours/week). Health, dental, and vision coverage, plus a 401(k) with up to 3.5% employer match.

💻 Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to older adults via telehealth across PSYPACT states

• Build individualized treatment plans around each patient’s goals and needs

• Manage your own caseload and clinical decisions, with a supportive care team behind you

• Complete documentation in our EMR, with AI-assisted notes

• Join regular, paid case consultations with experienced clinical leaders

📋 Qualifications

• Must be located in the United States

• Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program

• Active, independent license to practice psychology in a PSYPACT participating state

• Active PSYPACT Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). Don’t have it yet? We’ll reimburse your initial application fees.

• Experience with older adult or geriatric populations preferred

• Comfortable with telehealth platforms and electronic health records

• Medicare billing experience a plus (we handle billing either way)

✅ Who Thrives at Sailor

• You care about the mission. Supporting older adults through grief, loss, and the challenges of later life feels meaningful to you.

• You understand this population. Maybe you’ve spent years working with older adults, or you’re later in your own career and chose this work on purpose.

• You do your best work on a team. You want colleagues, a clinical lead, and real support, not just a login and good wishes.

• You like independence with backup. You trust your clinical judgment and want infrastructure behind you, not oversight on top of you.
