✨ About the Role

Admissions Team

The Admissions team advances Verto's mission by guiding students and families through the process of joining Verto, from their first request for information through deposit. Admissions helps families navigate what is a life-changing decision - whether to start college with an experience rich in self-discovery, abroad. The team oversees all aspects of supporting students and families through learning about Verto and which semester and location options may be best for each student. Admissions helps students and families navigate this process with confidence.

Enrollment Department

While the primary responsibility of this role is to the Admissions team, this role may also support other functions of the enrollment department during non-peak times of the year for Admissions.  The enrollment department supports Verto’s mission by providing a world-class experience to students and families from their first interactions with Verto through arriving on-site. The team assists students and their families through making the life-changing decision to join Verto, and then supports them throughout the pre-departure period, preparing them for a successful Verto experience. 

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities:

This role supports Admissions activities including: 

• Conduct ~75 outbound phone calls each day, speaking with students and families for  for ~4 hours per day
• Maintain excellent notes as well as accurate and complete database records, of students and their families
• Educate students and families about Verto’s educational offerings, benefits, and process with partner colleges. This may include producing educational materials, communicating via phone, email, SMS, and Zoom, planning and hosting large scale live virtual webinars, and other avenues as needed. 
• Communicates clearly and effectively to students and families, using excellent judgement, nuance and tact. Provides exceptional service and timely responses to students and families across all communication channels. 
• Utilizes and maintains reporting to manage a full and accurate picture of student progress toward necessary action items.
• Finalize enrollment and achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals
• Maintains accurate and complete student records with excellent note taking and CRM hygiene.
• May coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (academics, onboarding, marketing, student financial services, on-site teams, university partnerships etc), communicating, educating, and collaborating to problem solve as needed.
• Maintains complete compliance with relevant privacy, compliance and confidentiality policies, manager guidance and best practices. 
• Other Duties, as assigned.

During the off-peak times of year for Admissions, this role may also support key initiatives for the broader Enrollment Department, including:

• Conducting outreach to enrolled students and families to assist them with their Onboarding and Pre-Arrival tasks 
• Managing a caseload of enrolled students 
• Respond to student and family inquiries throughout the pre-departure student lifecycle 
• Preparing and reviewing materials to be used throughout the pre-departure student experience 
• Assist with building out processes related to new programs or products, or process changes or improvements 
• Assist with live event coordination for admissions, onboarding, student financial services or community building events 
• Other Duties, as assigned.
  
  

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Must-have:

• Native-level fluency in English.

• Ability to work remote, this is a remote position.
• Able to travel at least 2 - 3 weeks per year.
• Must be based in the US, and work on a time zone 1 hour +/- those in the continental US. (Example: GMT -8 through GMT -3). From September through May, employees must be available to work standard business hours (approximately 9 a.m. - 5 p.m) aligned with Mountain or Pacific time.
• Availability to work occasional weekends, holidays and evenings is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and familiarity with the US higher education system 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to call, connect and interact with potential students and their families, often presenting highly complex information in one on one and group settings.
• Exceptional attention to detail, record-keeping, and ability to follow completed multi-step processes. 
• Strong computer skills, including Google suite and Microsoft suites, to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Experience with Salesforce or another relational CRM is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, in a fast paced environment, often balancing multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Persuasive and goal-oriented, possessing a positive outlook and professional demeanor

Nice-to-have:

• 2 years of sales experience or working in study abroad preferred.
• Experience working with student and parent populations preferred. 
• Living abroad, travel abroad, or study abroad experience preferred.

💲Compensation
At Verto, base salary is one part of your total compensation package. 

Final base pay will depend on your location (aligned to Verto’s compensation regions), as well as your experience, skills, and relevant qualifications. Your recruiter/hiring manager can share the specific range for your location during the hiring process.

United States | Remote — Anticipated Base Salary Range
$50,000 - $55,000 USD
