
Accountabilities:
The Senior Implementation Consultant will be responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, integration, and ongoing optimization of healthcare technology solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. Implement and configure healthcare applications across cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and virtual machine-based infrastructures. Manage integrations between enterprise solutions and client on-premise systems. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical configurations, workflows, mappings, and implementation plans. Develop, test, and validate healthcare data integrations using standards such as EDI X12, FHIR, HL7, REST APIs, SOAP services, ESBs, and iPaaS platforms. Create mapping specifications, perform data validation, troubleshoot errors, and support reconciliation activities. Support ETL processes, data migration initiatives, data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and loading activities. Collaborate with QA teams to develop technical test cases and validate system configurations during SIT and UAT phases. Partner with business analysts, subject matter experts, solution architects, and delivery teams to ensure successful project execution. Participate in technical workshops, integration discussions, and go-live readiness activities. Develop training materials, deliver product and client-specific training, and support knowledge transfer initiatives. Provide post-implementation support during transition phases and assist clients with ongoing maintenance activities. Troubleshoot technical issues involving applications, databases, networks, messaging platforms, and third-party integrations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior implementation team members. Contribute to technical documentation, solution improvements, and implementation best practices. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings extensive experience implementing healthcare technology solutions, strong knowledge of interoperability standards, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, customer focus, and experience working with enterprise integration environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience delivering technical healthcare system implementations, preferably within payer or health plan environments. 3+ years of experience working with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping and analysis. Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, including X12, FHIR, HL7, and related integration patterns. Hands-on experience analyzing and implementing healthcare transactions such as 834, 837, 835, 270/271, and 278. Experience working with healthcare coding standards including LOINC, SNOMED, and ICD-10. Strong knowledge of healthcare data domains, including member, claims, provider, enrollment, and clinical data. Experience with healthcare technology platforms and enterprise application implementation. Proficiency with data formats including JSON, XML, HL7 messages, X12, CSV, and other flat-file structures. Experience with relational databases, SQL, Oracle, and data modeling concepts. Experience implementing solutions using AWS or Azure cloud platforms and CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, or CloudFormation. Working knowledge of Java-based enterprise applications and SOAP/REST web services. Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments. Ability to troubleshoot Java application performance issues using tools such as jstack, VisualVM, jconsole, and jmap. Experience with integration engines or tools such as Mirth Connect, InterSystems, AWS Glue, or Talend is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and distributed global teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver results in fast-paced environments. Professional approach with the ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
